About the standard
The Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS) ensures animal welfare and responsible environment management in mohair supply chains. It is a voluntary standard from farms through to final business- to-business transaction, every stage must be certified. RMS certified farmers and herders are required to follow criteria related to animal welfare, land management, and social requirements

The Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS) offers farmers the opportunity to showcase responsible practices in animal welfare and land management. At the same time, it provides brands and consumers with assurance that the mohair products they choose align with their ethical and environmental values.
