The Apurva Kempinski Bali Achieves First GSTC Certification in Indonesia

We would like to congratulate The Apurva Kempinski Bali for this landmark achievement in sustainable tourism and for becoming the first hotel in Indonesia to obtain GSTC certificate. The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) is an independent, internationally recognized organization that promotes best practices in sustainable tourism. It is an honor for us to have the opportunity to become a certification body that is able to provide GSTC certification for The Apurva Kempinski Bali.

The certificate handover was carried out in Bali on April 28th, 2024 and was attended by Managing Director of Control Union Indonesia Jurriaan Thijs Boer, Business Development Excecutive of Control Union Indonesia Arif Pamungkas as certification provider, and General Manager of The Apurva Kempinski Bali Vincent Guironnet as well as involving supervisor and manager levels and related staff at The Apurva Kempinski Bali.

As one of the certification body that authorized and recognized by the GSTC to certify enterprises to a standard, Control Union Indonesia is able to certify hotels and tour operators directly against the GSTC criteria.
