Carbon Economic Value (CEV) Verification Services

Verify Emissions. Build Trust. Create Carbon Value.

Carbon Economic Value (CEV) is a mechanism that assigns an economic value to carbon emissions through various instruments, such as carbon trading, carbon offsets, and performance-based payments, to support national efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

CEV plays an important role in the implementation of Indonesia’s climate change policies, where mitigation activities need to be supported by measurable, transparent, and verifiable emissions calculations.

PT PCU INDONESIA is currently undergoing accreditation by the Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN) for the Carbon Economic Value scheme. Our proposed scope of services under the CEV regulatory scheme includes:

Emission Report Verification: Combustion of Fossil Fuels, With the following thresholds:

    • 2% for estimated emission levels of >500,000 tCOâ‚‚e/year or for thermal power generation facilities with a capacity of ≥100 MW.

    • 5% for estimated emission levels of ≤500,000 tCOâ‚‚e/year.

Although PT PCU INDONESIA has not yet obtained accreditation, we are able to establish cooperation and provide CEV verification services within the applicable scope. The Carbon Economic Value verification process is illustrated in the diagram below.
