About Standard

Indonesia has established a national organic standard, SNI 6729:2016, for Organic Farming Systems. This standard defines the principles of organic food production, covering key stages such as cultivation, maintenance, storage, transportation, labeling, and marketing. It outlines permitted inputs for soil fertility, pest and disease control, as well as food processing additives and aids. Furthermore, SNI 6729:2016 sets the framework for testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) system, import conditions for foreign products, and the regular review of standard requirements.

Control Union Indonesia (PT PCU INDONESIA) holds official accreditation from KAN (the National Accreditation Committee) under certification body code LSPr-073-IDN to carry out sustainable certification services for organic products in accordance with SNI Organik.
